01 Before Your First Shipment

Two things before we ship.

Before we can ship semen on your mare's behalf, two things need to be in place: the full breeding fee paid, and a fully executed contract on file at the ranch.

Every shipment after that must also be pre-paid. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. No semen ships until payment has cleared.

Signature is required on all FedEx shipments. FedEx does not pick up at Cedar Ridge on Saturdays or Sundays — know whether you can receive Saturday deliveries. For counter-to-counter air service we ship from DFW; we'll determine the closest major airport to your address.

02 Placing Your Order

Call us — don't message.

Orders are placed by phone only. Not Facebook, not email, not voicemail, not fax. Call (903) 564-7686 and speak with someone who can confirm availability, schedule your shipment, and answer questions about your mare.

One dose of semen is sent per shipment. Availability on any given day is not guaranteed — ranch and transit mares take priority over shipped-semen mares, and non-foal-heat mares take priority over foal-heat mares. Our stallion manager prioritizes the list each day.

Critical Deadlines
5:00 PM CT Place your order — the day before collection
8:00 AM CT Confirm or cancel — the day of collection

Late orders and late cancellations each incur a $50 fee. Please have your shipping address, mare's registration number, and a contact name and phone number ready when you call.

03 Mare Care & Pregnancy

Your vet, your responsibility.

We ask that you work with an experienced mare management facility. Mares should be on a regular teasing and palpation/ultrasound schedule, and we'll often ask you to palpate to confirm ovulation — or determine whether more semen is needed.

Pregnancy confirmation by ultrasound starts at 14 days post-ovulation and continues through 45 days. Failure to provide pregnancy status means the mare will not appear on the breeding report, and the live foal guarantee may be affected.

For embryo transfers: if more than one embryo is produced and transferred, notify Cedar Ridge within 48 hours. A stallion service fee, including the chute fee, applies to each pregnancy.
